COVID Safety

We all share a duty of care for ourselves and others:

  • Do not come to class if you (or anyone you live with) are displaying symptoms of COVID, or if you are quarantining or waiting for the results of a COVID test.

  • Use hand sanitiser as you enter and exit the room.

  • Try not to touch your eyes, nose or mouth.

  • Masks are not recommended for exercise, but it is entirely up to you if you choose to wear one.

  • Respect social distancing (there will be rubber markers on the floor to indicate a 2m area in which to place your mat and remain for the class).

  • Observe the one-way system if there is one.

  • Either bring your own mat and equipment or, if you are borrowing mine, please clean with the disinfectant spray and paper towels provided before and after use, and bring a clean hand towel to cover the blocks.

  • Wear socks for the class.

  • Bring a towel to cushion your wrists/knees/hips if you need one.

  • Come dressed ready for Pilates and bring as little as possible with you.

  • I will not be offering make-up classes for the time being (I am not able to squeeze an extra person into any of my classes due to social distancing, and the class you are in will be your class ‘bubble’, which is important for track and trace purposes).

  • I will not be walking around the room or applying hands-on corrections.I will remain at the front to demonstrate, observe, and offer verbal corrections and cues.

  • Please make payments by bank transfer if possible.Otherwise I can accept cheques or cash (correct amount in a sealed envelope labelled with your name).

  • Although we stay on our mat in Pilates, there are certain exercises where our hands may also touch the floor (e.g. side lying). If you are concerned about this please bring a towel to place your hands on, or you could choose to wear gloves.

  • I will be keeping a register for track-and-trace purposes.  Please ensure I have your up-to-date contact details and let me know if there is a class you are not able to attend.
